Raw Activated Seed Cracker Recipe

Raw Activated Seed Cracker Recipe

This recipe is so easy to make it should be illegal. I can’t take full credit for it, one of the playgroup mums gave it to me a few years back, its super versatile and you can add carrots, kale, tamari, pepper, mixed herbs, different nuts, dried fruit or whatever you like to mix up the flavors.

You may think I’m nuts when I tell you this….

Soaking your nuts is not as crazy as you might think, it increases the bioavailability of the nutrients, allowing our bodies to better absorb all the good stuff packed inside. And furthermore, we are retaining the benefits by dehydrating them instead of cooking.

 Ingredients:

2 cups of assorted seeds (pepitas, sunflowers, sesame, linseeds)

½ cup of chia seeds

1 cup water

Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

Mix in a bowl. Leave soak for ½ hour. Lay out on a large baking tray lined with baking paper. Press it in with your hands.

Dehydrate by setting your oven to 50 degrees (no higher or it will not be considered raw)

Let sit for 5-7 hours until all the moisture has gone.

Break up into rough pieces and serve with the kefir cheese and fig jam.
